Cookie Policy

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones roastmy.chat places on your device, why, and how you can control them. It does not cover how we handle personal data generally — that is in the Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Each one carries the name of the site that set it, a lifetime, and usually a random identifier. Session cookies expire when you close the browser; persistent cookies stay until their lifetime ends or you delete them. First-party cookies are set by us; third-party cookies are set by a provider working on our behalf. Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, serve the same purposes and are covered here too.
2. What we use them for
- Continuity — remembering your journey so you can close the tab and come back to the same questions, and connecting your answers to your purchase.
- Authentication — keeping you signed in after you open a sign-in link.
- Analytics — understanding which screens are used and where the product loses people, so we can improve it.
- Payment security — our payment processor uses its own cookies to make the payment work and to detect fraud.
When advertising measurement is enabled, we use LinkedIn conversion pixels to measure profile confirmation and email submission. LinkedIn may use its own cookies to match these events to an ad interaction. We do not give these pixels your salary, questionnaire answers, email address or LinkedIn profile content.

Stripe’s cookies are described in Stripe’s own cookie policy. None of the above holds your name or your email address.
4. Advertising measurement
We keep campaign identifiers in session storage to connect your arrival to your journey, and successful pixel event identifiers in local storage to avoid repeats. LinkedIn describes its cookies and their lifetimes in its Cookie Policy. Server-side advertising measurement is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you view, block, and delete cookies and local storage in their settings. Blocking visitor_id means the product cannot remember your answers between visits; blocking the session cookie means you will need a fresh sign-in link each time. Guides for the main browsers:
